Featured Custom Home Project
This beautiful, Cooter Ramsey-designed home packs curb appeal for days with its large shed dormer window on the second story, board and batten accents, and extruded box window in the front. This home was created with practical living and luxury in mind.
Close-up view of the front porch with natural stained wood decking, a sconce light fixture, and a blue dual entryway with a lovely transom window.
The rear of the home is a wall of windows on the first floor that bring a flood of natural light and beautiful wooded views into the living spaces. An enormous shed dormer on the second floor provides a spectacular view. And a large back porch offers a perfect place for outdoor living and entertaining.
The natural wood decking allows plenty of space for an outdoor dining and seating area with a serene view of the woods. The painted wood beadboard ceiling adds a polished touch to the space.
This home doesn't skimp on windows. The entire back porch is filled with glass windows, glass doors, and transom windows for a stunning view that allows nature into the home.
The double front entryway welcomes visitors with glass-paned doors and a generous transom window overhead. The stunning hardwood floors add serious character to this home, as well.
An interior view of the box window space in the front of the home. This could make a lovely spot for a desk or for a padded bench to make a window seat.
This enormous great room boasts raised smooth ceilings, recessed lighting, and exquisite details everywhere you look. One of our favorite areas is the gas fireplace with a shiplap fireplace wall and stained solid wood built-in cabinets and floating shelves on each side. We love the contrast between the dark wood grain, the crisp white shiplap and trim, and the whitewashed brick fireplace.
The open floor plan lets anyone in the kitchen see all that is going on in the living area. And the open design makes the space feel even bigger than it is. Meanwhile, a generous helping of windows floods beautiful natural light into the entire space.
This Modern Craftsman kitchen has a large eat-in kitchen island with an enormous undermounted sink and 3 sleek pendant lights illuminating the area. The island gets its own special dark stain treatment to complement the color of the other cabinets.
From the island, there is a glorious view of the eat-in area, as well as the beautiful trees outdoors. And stainless steel appliances look right at home with the color scheme and the industrial stainless steel range hood.
A beautiful view of the fireplace and built-ins, along with the wooden stairs and banister. Imagine having this relaxing view in your backyard while enjoying the warmth of the gas log fireplace in the winter.
This eating space can accommodate a large dining room table and makes a wonderful gathering spot for family and friends. And just a few steps away, there is a handy double doorway to the back deck for easy indoor-outdoor dining options for large dinner parties.
Upstairs, this large, carpeted loft area is perfect for a living space or play space and a little study nook in the large dormer area toward the front of the home. The cozy built-in window seat makes a wonderful reading spot along the side.
Another detail we love about the design of this home is all the extra storage space that is easily accessible through these small doors around the loft.
A view of the rear-facing part of the loft upstairs with a beautiful wall of 6 double-hung windows in the large shed dormer area.
A master suite sits conveniently on the first floor for easy access to all the living space with a beautiful and functional master bathroom.
Another full bath combines beauty and functionality with a custom tile shower and an inset tile shelf that matches the hexagonal shower floor.
This full bath by the loft upstairs has a handy custom shelf that goes around the tub/shower combo for extra storage space.
