This Modern Italian Renaissance home fits right in with the elegant style of the Heathwood neighborhood near downtown Columbia, SC. Featuring a fresh take on a hip roof, the outside is primarily a stucco finish but there is a prominent stone veneer accent wall to draw attention to the entryway.

As per the classic Italian Renaissance style, the roofline is low-pitched with wide eaves and large, decorative brackets along with ornate details. The black steel windows provide a modern update to this familiar type of Mediterranean architecture. And the dramatic oversized double doors bring a palatial feel to the home.

The natural stone door frames harken back to the look of the stone of the Renaissance, pietra serena.
